The software used for the general river
invertebrate classification in the UK is
River Invertebrate Classification Tool
Version 2 (RICT2).
RICT2 software, which implements
RIVPACS IV, is available as a web tool at:
https://www.fba.org.uk/rivpacs-and-
rict/river-invertebrate-classification-
tool Figure 3.23. From here you can also
download the RIVPACS database, user
and technical guides and development
reports, as well as the software programs
themselves. These are written in R so that
researchers can modify them for their
own purposes.
